After upsetting No. 2 seed Kentucky last week, the small Jesuit school from Jersey City — No. 15 seed — beat No. 7 Murray State (70-60) on Saturday, March 19.
Coach Shaheen Holloway has high standards. Here's an exchange during a game-time interview with CBS' Jamie Edrahl.
Holloway's confidence is unwavering. During a post-game press conference, the coach said:"
"I got guys from New Jersey and New York City. You think we’re scared of anything?
"You think we’re worried about guys trying to muscle us and tough us out? We do that. That’s who we are. We are a very physical team. Our bodies probably don’t look like it, but these guys play very hard and very physical."
The next game for the Peacocks (21-11) will be Friday, March 25 when they will face No. 3 seed, the Purdue Boilermakers (29-7).
